Sullins Named New Merit Health Woman’s Hospital CNO

Merit Health Woman’s Hospital welcomes Jacque Sullins, RN, BSN, MSN as their new Chief Nurse Officer. Jacque comes to the hospital from sister facility Merit Health Rankin in Brandon.
Jacque Sullins brings over 35 years of clinical experience to Merit Health Woman’s Hospital. Her career includes 14 years of obstetric and maternal-child health at the bedside and service as a perinatal clinical nurse specialist, as well as progressive leadership/management roles in the field. She has 11 years of executive experience as a Chief Nurse and served as an active duty Air Force nurse for 15 years. While serving as Chief Nursing Officer at Merit Health Rankin, Sullins provided executive leadership for all clinical departments, including nursing, surgical services, emergency department, radiology, laboratory, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, behavioral health, and the sleep lab. Jacque also previously served as Chief Nursing Officer at Summit Medical Center in Van Buren, Ark., and Gulf Coast Medical Center in Biloxi.
Sullins received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Michigan University and her master’s degree in nursing science/perinatal clinical nurse specialist from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, in Little Rock, Ark. She was selected as the Chief Nurse Executive of the Year in 2011 by Health Management Associates leadership and holds memberships in the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Nurse’s Association, the Mississippi Nurse’s Association, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. Jacque and her husband Jim have two grown sons and live in Brandon.
